Agreed! Nice photos - hope you had fun in Sussex!
Yeah, hadn't been back to Sussex for about 5 years...... light was too contrasty to make much of the images, but got the feeling there was more going on here than met the eye.
Bit like Cow Castle on Exmoor, which also has traces of an internal ditch and not overly defensible......
