Lots of drawings of the lovely Gavrinis carvings. It’s a shame they’re not photographs. But as even drawings seem to be hard to come by on the internet, I was most pleased to find them.

I don't speak French, but p18 and 19 seem to be comparing the carvings to the patterns of fingerprints?
Btw I've found some photos in an article in the 1992 Journal of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland (v122)...
Just been turning the pages, fascinating. We can but wonder what that was about (I agree about the fingerprint-like patterns).
