Teroy

“Account of the Excavation of a Broch near Craigcaffie, Inch Parish, Wigtownshire, known as the Teroy Fort.” – in the 1911 volume of PSAS.

It suggests that ‘Teroy’ might come from the Gaelic ‘Tigh Ruadh’ = Red House.
