| I'm not quite sure what the difference is between the hillfort and this site as they appear to be one and the same to me, but it is a large enclosure / fort with multiple banks and ditches. Although it is on a high hill it is not on the crown, it is on a slight slope into the valley. This may well be secondary to nearby Chilcombe which is about a mile to the east of this site. |
