Robin Hood’s Butts (Gerrick)

There is a photo of this barrow in "The Archeaology of Yorkshire" by Frank and Harriet Wragg Elgee (1933 Methuen) taken from almost exactly the same position - the excavation scar in the centre of the mound is more prominent in the older picture - presumably it's gradually filled in during the 70 years until your photo!
