As it happens I spotted a circular crop mark very similar to the article’s pic on Google Earth near my girlfriend’s home on Manchester’s outskirts last week. Enlarging image to the max it looks like there are twelve post or stone holes visible round it. I’m going with henge. Wondering if I should put it up here as a site or just contact Manchester’s powers that be. There’s a lot out there. Am putting up another site on TMA, unrecorded enclosure, nearby as it’s plain as day, and has been previously postulated but not found. The pix should convince. And have found a probable Roman villa too. I’ve had a very good year on the fieldwalking front.. Gigha and Colonsay finds still to upload.
Keep them coming :-)
I will, promise! Headspace needed, work and stuff have been more full on this summer than anticipated. The Isles visits six months ago now. Accounts first, then the cerebral bit.
