The cairn sits amidst the windfarm at Crystal Rig, but is much reduced in size now. The blocks that were once at the crown of the cairn now lie on the eastern side of the cairn, as if they have tumbled down through time or been blown by the wind. The cairn itself is a little tricky to find when following the western road through Crystal Rig, almost being lost among the long grass. Despite being surrounded by wind turbines and stunning views of the hills, the approach is still quite boggy, and the grass was up to my waist when nearing the stones.
