It's not the easiest place to reach: the main problem is avoiding beef cattle on the path. However, the panoramic views are outstanding.
Cattle: tell me about it! Last time I was at High Banks I had to make my way back to the stile with a phalanx of about sixty bullocks walking a few feet behind me. Had to hold my nerve and face down their leader repeatedly. If I’d slipped it might not have been pretty. Am even more circumspect now.
