This one's been on my radar for years; seeing this wonderful photo's like a sign telling me that I must finally make the effort to visit in 2025.
I was reflecting this morning that he must have been really determined to get to all these places (plus with a big camera) in 1900. It's all very well perusing the 1:25000 OS map, driving about in one's comfy car and then putting your nice waterproof boots / coat on to hike over the moor. Bit more of an expedition in those days.
Hope you get there this year!
Wistman's Wood is as far as I've been off the road in Dartmoor which is quite feeble really. There's so much to see.
