What a lovely setting. Looks like a little stone circle.
Brannigan, in his book about Barra, Vatersay, Mingulay etc etc etc mentions loads of places like this. However, I think he must have spent a lot of time in Castlebay's excellent pubs as quite a few don't exist. A very beautiful place SC.
Nothing wrong with that, I often find a visit to the pub helps me see things that don't exist!
Couldn't agree more, I visited these pubs as well, there was Whisky Galore.
There's a good few of these listed on Canmore for Barra isn't there Drew. A bit of a mystery.
A lot of the hills were climbed tho which made up for missing sites, like you found quite a few as well. One day someone will solve the mystery :-)
