Not addressed to ryaner, just a general comment; great that its recognised and protected, sucks that it is removed from the landscape and turned into an ornament, such a lovely stone row as well.
A lot of the state care monuments in the north are like that, minimal land purchased and fences up tight to the stones. Ballymacdermot where you visited recently is an exception.
