That's class. Sometimes the journey can be better than the destination.
I thought this photo rang a bell, it's one of my favourite paths. Just a magic section through the trees.
A couple of snaps (just cos I like this path so much) before and after it was resurfaced. I liked it a bit more when the old tree roots were showing through. From your photo, looks like they are starting to show again. The trees lining the way are wonderful.
