Love it. There's just something wonderful about these places.
There is, I've really enjoyed coming across these kinds of sites round the coast.
You hitting the coastal paths again this year? Where you up to? (should that be down to?), if you don't mind me asking (just being nosy)?
We probably will. Not sure yet. We reached the Tyne, but the Teesside area doesn't look all that enjoyable. I quite fancy the Cleveland Way, which is half moors and half coast. We'll see!
Cleveland Way does look nice. Walked a few little bits of it which I enjoyed.
I've always wanted to do the St Cuthbert’s Way. One day hopefully.
I was reading a few day's back about the John o' Groats Trail, which I'd not heard of before. Looks good, maybe a bit long for me though but I do love the east coast side of that part of Britain.
The coast from the Tees southward is uniformly great, SC. If you start at the South Gare, the southerly point where the Tees meets the sea it's a fine walk along the beach at low tide towards Redcar where a bit of the submerged forest there might still be visible. I was at Low Hauxley in July but haven't posted anything yet as life and latterly tech have intervened. That walk south from Coquet Island is fab on a sunny day and the visitors centre at Low Hauxley's worth popping in.
