Just looking at the enclosure of flash earth, all looks very interesting (certainly intriguing) the shape of the enclosure and the way the fields have been divided up over recent years. Also there appears to be something to the East of this site, almost a perfect circle of trees, bushes?
Fantastic light in these photos, interesting that it was incorporated into a later site.
Not sure whether it was reverential, maybe more utilitarian (complete speculation of course).

There are two ringforts Costa, one quite substantial. They’re marked on archaeology.ie, both overgrown.
