The one fort is in a firing range used by the RAF, you can get close enough to see it. The other is in a massive tank range where live ammo is indeed the risk.

Pity in that case that you can't wander round when Army not in residence as I did at Dundrennan recently...unless there's live ammo risk unlike there.
