Totally worthwhile, however while the area may be, as said, remote, Clachtoll itself has a heavy footfall in the summer months, due to the adjoining camping and caravan site, which was heaving when I was there. Vandalism of the broch, albeit not systematic, has occured and will, sadly, probably continue. Re the Canmore link you provided, Drew: ta.. reading the Historic Assynt part I followed up the mention therein of Loch Borralan East - a cracker, imo, one for the list, if/when I get back, and worth giving a headsup to others. And well done for the add, Gladman themodernantiquarian.com/site/15795/loch_borralan_east.html

Cheers Spencer, same problem all over I suppose but we have to keep trying. Lovely area and I'll be back over fairly soon.
