Had intended visiting here today while on rare visit to area, circs prevented, but thought it worthwhile flagging up these marks again - fascinating in that there's a possibility albeit remote that they are of Neanderthal origin...nonetheless, along with the seeming cupmarks, of probable antiquity. Well spotted, Gladman.
To be fair they are sort of in your face when you crawl in......
...but you pointed them out which others on here and the Other Place didn't and made me want to go...time, circs and hail the size of marbles (ouch) put paid to that. Ah well, a few months time I hope. Ta.
