Yep, well worth the visit. It was a drizzly late afternoon (Sunday), and the photos don't do the site justice.
T is right, that is a superb hut circle, very similar to these Canadian Tent Circle things I've been reading about.
It can't be much of a leap from "tent ring" to more permanent circular structure, I guess.
