A great site predominantly about the Dolmens of the Lot department and some of Tarn & Garonne department.
There is an article from the french Archéologia about the Lot dolmens with an english translation at the bottom. Plus several pages of pictures the author has visited and also cupules (cups) and standing stones in the region.

There are loads of sites in this area so plenty of hill climbs coming up. The Deveron runs near my home town so it will be good to see it closer to it’s source.

In connection with the fieldnotes that I wrote a year ago, this is a feature about access improvements to this site. It appears on the Heritage Journal and is reproduced here with Heritage Action’s kind permission.

I find it hard to beleve that these guys didn’t spot the stones amongst the bushes. Luckily for me John Porter did.

No mention of the bones.

These include ‘an intimate portrait’ of the monument which draws the viewer closer and closer to the Stones, and a multimedia visual poem which approaches the place of Stonehenge in the modern cultural landscape and explores the people associated with the monument. Just a short distance from the Stirling Cairn, this time Bronze Age.

I climbed and walked around this hill just for a walk and found cairns, wells and tremendous scenery all over the place! A Neolithic cairn unfortunately robbed but enough left for the imagination.
