That is a wall but there traces of quartz in it. I noticed that as well, climbed Ceapabhal later that day, magnificent views and with binoculars a hint of St Kilda to the west.
From Luskentyre down to Rodel is superb, going back next year to same place to look south making use of the ferry at Leverburgh :-) (We were based in Rodel and lived in a log cabin made by guys from Old Rayne)

The hill behind catches my eye. Is that a wall/track going diagonally across the hill? Looks a bit like a vein of quartz, impressive if it is.

Sounds great. I'd love a trip up through the Outer Hebrides one day, Barra to Lewis.
Yeah, did that about a decade ago now. Stayed in the YHs which were thatched blackhouses. Would love to go back, too.
It's a different world out that way. So many magical places to see.
