I saw a program a while back (or I could have read it in a book) about stella/Pyramid theories. My memory of it is poor but it seems someone had suggested that the layout of tombs across Egypt mirrored the stars including the pyramids/Orion's Belt alignment. The upshot of the program was that yes, you could roughly match up the stars with some of the tombs, but that there were many other tombs that didn't fit the plan- the theory had been based on some very selective evidence.
Also the pyramids at Giza didn't match Orion's Belt either and their setting was more due to the geology/geography of the area.
Which is a shame really.
