Pete, you appear to be Dr. Fact regarding Avebury, so, with reference to your New Restoration post...
Pete what/where is 'the lodge'. and...
the stone that may be re-erected, what number is it? and while you're being so helpful...
The Keiller book has a plan (taken from an OS map) of the end of the West Kennet Avenue (Sanctuary end) and it shows a couple of stones by the road just down from the Sanctuary, are they still there and visible? (79b and 81b)
and finally...
Avenue stone 63b noted as being buried in 1921-2, can you tell me anything about that?
