I recall making the long journey by bus from Swindon to Amesbury one Easter weekend a while back to see all the newly displayed finds and to listen to a talk on Blick Mead. It was all completely new to me and I came away feeling excited and wondering why more other people didn't feel the same. They do now - good for David Jacques who has been diligently working away on the site with a team of volunteers for some years.
