The few hotels we spotted in the "wastelands" during the daytime never seemed to be serving grub when we arrived. Definitely a "take plenty sarnies" on expedition, kind of place. Then there was the rain, plenty of it, and mostly horizontal. Worth it for the spectacular circles though.. Mmmmmm!
