I was there a few months ago and sat in the car for a few minutes worrying that I'd be attacked (having read JC's fieldnotes) while the dog just sat outside my door staring at me, once I got out of the car the dog just rolled over to be stroked. It ran ahead of us all the way round the site, which was pretty cool. It was the weekend of Imbolc, and there was a few piles of seed left near Gib Hill, presumably as a ritual offering of some kind - the dog stopped to eat some seeds, when I reached out to stroke his head he turned round and bit my hand - it didn't hurt but I don't think I'll bother going near the dog next time!
