For special occasions why not ;-) Though, “At peak times they hope to transport 850 people an hour, at 60 to each transporter.” so that’d be a bit tough on the shires :-)

I guess other means of transportation from the VC to the Stones have been looked into, and maybe on the cards when funding becomes available. The Land Rover solution does look a bit temporary...
