For example we can (at any age) go on experiencing things without actually fully understanding what it is we’re experiencing. Perhaps it’s the subtleties therefore of interpreting a set of experiences that’s important, not the number of times we experience an experience - the former takes time, ie the rolling by of the years. I don’t think Sanctuary is being ageist at all; he’s merely pointing out that things take time to (fully) appreciate - a bit like TMA actually, and the esteemed contributors who continue to post here.
