If you’re saying that you feel the Ed is being abusive I think you may have misinterpreted his or her post to tiomapan (a long and greatly respected contributor to this board). I may be wrong but I read the Ed’s post to tiomapan as a plea, rather than as a warning, not to rise to yet another piece of nonsensical bait – a plea which it appears he has wisely decided to heed. Paul, It's probably not what you want to hear but you really should leave this now mate, Alienating yourself from Tiompan is like cutting your nose off to spite your face. Bar one other person who i'm better off not naming here he's learned me more than anyone else over the years, And many others will say the same too. I can't speak for others in regards to yourself but i value your input too, But it's quite "leftfield" for here if you will, Not that that makes it any less worthy of airing i'd like to add but many won't relate to it preferring more "conventional" ways of looking at things if you get me. Things seem to have settled down a bit over the last few days with this being the only source of angst left so it would be fantastic if some sort of closure could be brought on this too, For the general good of the forum. Not laying blame on either party here as we've all seen where blame gets you recently, Nowhere at all, but if you can let go of this just for a few days you'll see Tiompan is one of the most respected, Informative and level headed people You'll ever "meet", Along with being a very mild mannered usually too. I've sat reading and re-reading this for 15 minutes now thinking it's probably not a good idea to hit "post message", As being one of the least articulate people you'll ever read there's a fair chance you'll interpret my good intentions wrongly, But it's the best i've got so i hope you can see the spirit of the post for what it is and consider what i say. :) I hear you and am leaving it [ as you can see because i didn't read what he said so therefore can't reply to it! ], I am here for the balance though, i am very leftfield in everything really, i'm here to stop this place smelling of schoolteachers and tweed and bring this place back where it should be in the center, because if i'm leftfield this place is a bit rightfield, this world of mysterious ancient sites is filled with lots of leftsided people isn't it? and i will be that on here til whatever guilds me takes me elsewhere! but i agree with what you said and it's all nice and good advice, the irony of you been the peacekeeper isn't lost on me though! the mad thing is harestonedown is really taking on a character all of his own, your a [ in a nice way ] scary man. I remember my first visit to Avebury, my mind was so blown i had to get out lol, So many questions racing through my head that i couldn't handle it, And whilst for the four days i had there i fully intended to stay as close as possible to the village centre i went and booked into Blacklands campsite in Calne, Soon as the tent was up i fucked off across the fields and sat under a big old dead tree for several hours sort of meditating (though i didn't know that's what i was doing at the time) to try and steady my mind as it was all too much, Next day i was back to residing in my van at the WKLB lay-by where i spent the rest of my visit with a "hippy", He banged on about all sorts that i'd normally run a mile from but it distracted my brain allowing me to appreciate Avebury so much more, Most of it i considered utter bollox, but it made me see people can have a very alternative view, and that's something i'll never forget, A lesson well learned as if you don't keep an open mind you might as well not bother.
