I must say I thought these were much nicer houses than the modern pre-fabs however better the facilities. Pity they couldn't have renovated the old buildings? A few years back we got talking to the lovely elderly inhabitant of the house at Fang circle (http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/567/fang_circle.html) and iirc her husband was born in the first ruined croft past the modern box house and his grandmother was born in the ruined croft built on the circle...
