Yes, i've been looking through the finds in the area, and a lot of neolithic tools have been found within 1km of the site including a quartz mace-head as well as a greenstone mace-head / hammer head.

Also, i don't know if you've seen any OS maps of clare, but they seem to show the remains of a 3rd castle / fort to the east of clare camp.
