So the pit may be right there.
It is somewhat obscene then that they are jumping to conclusions in order to pump up the hype. But perhaps if they don't, they won't get the dosh from the people in charge.
The state of UK archaeology is still enviable as seen from other countries (forgiving the tabloid-like headlines)!

I don't have a problem with the site of the pit , it's just not what they say it is astronomically .Having said that there were some odd comments like the pit being on the pathway of the Cursus then it turns out to be 150 metres to the south of the southern ditch of the Cursus .
