| On the cover of 'Recent developments in the archaeology of the Peak District' (1991) there is an aerial photo that includes the area where these stones are located (in the picture to the NW of the centre of the circle). The area looks like a low ridge or disturbed area. Incidentally the book can be purchased here for the bargain price of £8.99 - http://www.megalithic.co.uk/shop/ email the shop for details I think (they also have John Barnatt's barrow corpus for £13 instead of £50).
