Funny isn’t it, how some claim (100% no less) that stones don’t hold spirits while at the same time stating there are things contained within the Great Cosmos that are beyond our understanding or scientific explanation. I might be missing something here, but I don’t think you can subscribe to the last part of that statement without reducing the first part by at least 50% ;-)

No one is likely to argue against the second statement but I don't see how how it it should reduce the odds for the former to that extent , despite the lack of a definition of "spirit " from either view .

Littlestone's post makes reference to my previous posts without actually attributing them to me.
Moss has eloquently expanded her question 'do (some) stones hold malevolent spirits?' to talk about 'the spirit of the place'. Perhaps I might have expanded my rejection of the first hypothesis to suggest that the word 'malevolent' be replaced with 'negative energy' but then we move into the area of ley lines etc.
Moss, no offence intended - I always enjoy reading your posts and particularly liked your 'spirit of the place' post.

PS: If anyone wants to start a topic about toxic places I would suggest they are all relatively modern - nuclear power stations, motorways etc, etc.
