Take fifty people who know nowt round Avebury and record the "possible faces per stone" ratio they come up with then take them up to the Mother's Jam (and a hundred other sites, natural and artificial) and see if the ratio is significantly higher in Avebury.


On my last trip to Avebury I took a mate along who is well into photography but knew nothing of Avebury. It hadn't occured to me to mention any 'facial' stones but his keen eye for a photo soon found some without any prompting from me whatsoever!
