With another visit to Penwith looming, I thought I'd try to get to some sites I've not managed before, in the hope of some fine weather.

Looking on Google Earth and magic, Watch Croft seems fairly out of the way. Does anyone have any turn by turn directions on the best (easiest) way to approach it? My knees aren't what they were, and I prefer to stick to accessible paths rather than scramble cross country these days.

Thanks.

I was looking forward to reading some replies to this as I am heading down that way myself next month with the main objective of visiting a few ancient sites in the Penwith area. I hadn't heard about this one and it certainly looks worth visiting. Thesweetcheat has written some great fieldnotes and he remains my main source of inspiration for going down there - along with the opening sequences of the Standing with Stones dvd.

As he helpfully says - watch out for old mine shafts.
