Thanks anyway. I guess I'm probably off on a false-start, but I'll keep trotting. I'd need to find out what it is, when it may be from, if it's a once-off, or one of a group of similar. Maybe I'm reading the photo wrong. It could look very different in plan.
As far as I'm aware it was a copper mining area, but the link between circles and copper mining in Cork is tenuous at best. Perhaps Dunbeacon, near Mt. Gabriel. The convention has been to look north, to Aberdeen, for influence on morphology.
I don't know. I'll keep playing with it...
