| Yes, I've kept one as a pet - it grew to be quite large. They're migratory, particularly in response to drought, which fits, and are noted for clashing into car windshields. The current term for the small ufo things is 'orb' and Google will turn out a zillion results under that term. They are noted near crop circle formations - the adjacent one came down on the third - both before and after they appear. (This is v soft ground!)
