Whatever people's reasons for wanting to be there (and I'm sure there are many!) they should be allowed to do their thang. As long as it's respectful to the site, the other visitors, and in the case of Avebury, the villagers... I kinda wish I could be arsed to go along! Just to see what all the fuss is about. The big crowds have never appealed to me...
