The Ground was pretty waterlogged, the platform was extremely circular, the ditch was waterlogged and had a slight raised bank on the outside. The henge measured about 25 feet across.
As you can imagine I got quite excited about the whole thing, lots of running around, sketching and pacing. It wasn't until I stood back and had a good look at the landscape that I realised that what I'd actually discovered was an ox bow. The sheep got to hear a few words that you don't hear in church..
