Yeah! I got the same sort of reaction. Some people seem to find this sort of thing boring!? How weird is that?

The guy I was travelling with is a friend & colleague, but he has an extremely short attention span for anything old (and by this I mean pre-1980s). He's happy to go on at length about the stuff he's into, but somehow prehistoric ritual architecture is deemed boring while conversations about carbon fibre bicycles are supposed to enthral me.

Aren't long distance train journeys fun.
