We all know that Avebury has been "Done to death" but like other famous sites of public interest you dont have to go far to experience solitude, a mystical feeling, a sense of wonder or an appreciation of history or architecture. Although an "Agnostic" in the broadest sense I find that I can get all of the above by visiting my local cathedral (Winchester) It depends what turns you on. Mind you I go down the pub afterwards!
