Did Guy Underwood excavate the remains up at Conkwell or did he dowse his results, Chance? Cos he did have some unorthodox ideas didn't he.

Hi Rhiannon

I not sure if Guy dowsed the Conkwell circle or not. If he did, it never made it into the W.A.M. report of 1946. He does say that the stone circle was the reason he was drawn to the area though.

He was very careful not to highlight his work in this area for fear of ridicule. His only book was published five years after his death. I read somewhere that this was stipulated in his will.
A lot of Guy's research went on a bonfire in his back garden, a month after his death.

A new book on Stonehenge is due out this year. It contains some of Guy's drawings of the energy lines around the henge.

Could you please update the link for the Lansdowne barrow on your Jug's Grave entry
http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/7660, as it leads to a dead end at present.

If I find out any more, I'll let you know.

Thanks

Chance

P.S.
Some of Guy's original "Geodentic" dowsing rods are available for sell if you fancy having a go.
