It surprises me every time I see it. Once seen, though, you understand why people think that's the entry point into Ireland. Just below that corner of Ireland the Atlantic comes east and meets the Irish Sea pushing up from the south. This creates a nasty, nasty tide that will rip a small boat to pieces in seconds.
