The 9th of December was very stormy and we didn't spend much time at Men Amber. The CEMG visit didn't come up with anything specific. However this is something I wrote as part of an article for White Dragon a few years ago.
It looks as though the summer solstice sunset would occur over Men Amber when seen from Prospidnick Long Stone, SW 6592 3155. This is an elegant 3m standing stone, at a bend in a minor road near Prospidnick Hill, but it and Men Amber aren't intervisible because Longstone Down between them is about 1m too high. Some of the hedgerows on the northern side of Prospidnick Hill seem to follow the ramparts of an Iron Age defended settlement.
