On the other hand if I remember correctly, I'm sure you have to step up a little slope to enter the circle so a person of average height standing a few feet in front of the portals may find the recumbent is near in line with the horizon or not massively lower? Hence why I'm looking for pics :)


There's one in Ruggles' " Astronomy in Prehistoric Britain and Ireland" , my scanner has just died but I could send a rough pic of a pic .
