The Devil's Arse in Castleton

is it honestly called that? Great!

Utterly amazing, superb, and the town around the mouth of the cavern is stunning too. Worth a visit [and try to make a rope using old technology] - featured a few months back on Countryfile too [I have the episode stashed somewhere].

There's a Bod an Deamhain ,translated = Devils Penis in the Cairngorms but most maps have it as Devil's Point ,Harveys being the exception . Becky's Doup in Kincardineshire is a hill name meaning Rebecca's arse .
We seem to haev lost al ot of that stuff due to puritanism then Victorianis m. Wheatear for whitearse is another loss .
