New York? As in Manhattan? Good lord, no! [laughing] Talk about expensive! Although the good rate on British Pounds would help mitigate the sticker shock.

Really, for a "megalithic" meet in the US, it should be in the Four Corners area: Flagstaff AZ or Farmington NM, so that folks have the opportunity to visit Anasazi ruins: Chaco Canyon, Mesa Verde, Hovenweep. Of course we have little or nothing truly megalithic in North America, but thse are all lovely, strange and evocative prehistoric sites.

Or, Mexico: Chichen Itza is an easy bus ride from Cancun.

But in the end, Loie and I are perfectly happy to go back to the UK. We'd love to be shown around the sacred landscapes of Callanish or Orkney by you experts. Our niece Alyssa wants to visit Scotland after her high school graduation, coming up in two years. Mmmm, kippers from the Jollie's smokehouse.
