So, I went to see this over Easter. I have pics to put up but have been very snowed under recently...
Most definately carved concentric rings, it was ploughed up near to the Southern Henge at Knowton and is a suspected Cist cover ala Pool Farm Cist.

I also had a chat with Martin Green about other carvings. He'd not heard of any in Dorset museum but had heard of two other instances of carvings and has seen one of them (a different concentric ring carving) in someones back garden that came from near the barrows at Badbury Rings. The other instance were two carvings from barrows on the South Dorset ridgeway which were found a hundred or so years ago but are now missing, perhaps in Dorchester museum...

He also had a massive phallus shaped rock that was being used as a doorstop. No provenance though.

Question for me is how many other barows in Dorset have carvings hidden away?
