There's a tall chimney nearby, called Barrow Bridge chimney. Fred Dibnah pointed it, had ladders attached for years, until the council told him to get a shift on and to finish the job. There was a strange box he was supposed to mount up there - for the Peregrine - but, for reasons that are lost in the mists of time, he never did.
And when Hawkwind were just starting to release records I was working in the Falcon Mill, 5th floor, barrowing cotton about. Small world, eh ?
