| Gamelands and the Shap circles (Oddendale, Iron Hill , Gunnarkeld etc) are very worth visiting, but be warned that its over an hours drive from ulverston - the A590 is busy and slow. of course you could go the scenic route... Broughton in Furness IS very hospitable.
